Contract Faculty Policy Revision

The SPH Ad Hoc Review Committee has completed its review of the SPH Contract Faculty Appointment & Promotion Policy and has prepared a revised draft for faculty consideration. Faculty are invited to review the revised policy and submit comments by June 17, 2026.

The SPH Contract Faculty Appointment & Promotion Policy was created in 2012 to govern contract (term, non-tenure) faculty appointment and promotion procedures within the school. We have activated the SPH Ad Hoc Review Committee to examine the current policy, propose revisions, and forward recommendations to the SPH faculty for review and recommendation for approval. The policy has not been reviewed since its inception.

Submit Suggestions, Revisions, or Comments

Deadline: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 | 5:00 PM (CST)

All SPH tenured, tenure track, term (contract) faculty are encouraged to share feedback on the revised policy. Comments will be reviewed by the Ad Hoc Review Committee for potential inclusion in the revision before the final policy draft is distributed for faculty vote.
