An SPH HR consultant helps managers navigate the laws and University hiring requirements, incorporate effective recruitment techniques and practices, and hire outstanding talent.
Staff
The Staff Search Process Overview is a tool that outlines the steps and key partners in each phase of the process of filling a vacancy.
Temporary
Do you have a temporary work need to fill? A temporary position or short-term solution to get the work done may be appropriate. Contact an HR consultant to explore a temp/casual, temp/post, temp/no-post, or temporary assignment to a current employee, or temporary agency employee solution.
Student Workers
Student employment supports students with their educational costs and offers academic and career development. A student worker is a great resource for those non-essential responsibilities that still need to be done. Undergraduate and graduate students who meet the minimum credit enrollment may be hired as a student worker. Only graduate/professional level students may be in graduate assistantships. Contact sph-hr@umn.edu for more information if you need to post and/or hire for a student position.

SPH Staff Jobs Forum
Sign up for the SPH Staff Jobs Forum. This resource (Google Group) helps connect faculty and staff who are seeking to fill roles on their projects with current staff who are looking for additional work up to a 100 percent appointment. The forum supports faculty in hiring experienced SPH staff to meet their project needs and connects staff with opportunities to stabilize their employment within SPH during fluctuations in grant funding. By making these connections, the school retains talented staff.
