Become an Alumni Ambassador
Alumni Ambassadors are the SPH’s most active and engaged alumni volunteers. They support admissions, career development, and alumni programming by volunteering their time and sharing their talents. Alumni Ambassadors must participate in at least three volunteer activities per year. Volunteer activities can include, but are not limited to, attending SPH events, serving on panels, connecting with prospective students, and or joining SPH in a community service activity. If you know of alumni who are interested in volunteering at SPH share about the Alumni Ambassadors Program! Alumni can sign up to be an Alumni Ambassador at any time.
Join the SPH Mentor program
The Mentor Program is an incredible way to give back to students! The SPH Mentor Program serves over 300 students annually and is a great way for alumni to make an impact. Learn how you can become a mentor and help shape the future of public health. Recruitment of alumni mentors begins in August.

Alumni Card Writing Campaign
Alumni can help us recruit the next generation of SPH Gophers by sharing their SPH stories via written cards to prospective students. Alumni provide valuable insight and perspective for students deciding where to go for their graduate studies. This opportunity is available in January. If you know of interested alumni please email sph-alum@umn.edu and we will send them a personal invite when the activity becomes available.
