Alumni Communications

The number one way that School of Public Health (SPH) alumni engage with SPH and the University of Minnesota is through communications. We strive to provide relevant, engaging, and informative SPH communications that highlight alumni, build pride, and build continuous connection to SPH.

Alumni SPHere

Every month we curate stories from SPH and around the University of Minnesota. Our monthly newsletter, Alumni SPHere, focuses on sharing with alumni great research, information, opportunities, events, and more; all in a quick, digestible format. Our promise to our alumni is that Alumni SPHere is a one-stop shop with the most important information for SPH alumni. Alumni SPHere goes out monthly with the exception of December.

Alumni SPHere is coordinated and managed by the Associate Chief Advancement Officer.

Alumni Spotlights

The School of Public Health alumni community is over 12,500 alumni strong! We seek to introduce amazing members of the SPH alumni community and share their stories of growth, inspiration, dedication, and more. We work with SPH Communications or freelance writers to interview and write stories about our alumni. Alumni Spotlights are sent out quarterly and coordinated by our Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement.

Donor Stories

Every day, generous donors support students, research, programs, and initiatives through gifts to the School of Public Health. In gratitude to our amazing donors, we seek to share their stories to inspire, celebrate, and create a tradition of giving. Because one breakthrough in public health can produce years, decades, and even centuries of changes. We work with SPH Communications or freelance writers to interview and write stories. Donor Stories are sent out quarterly and coordinated by our Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement.

Division/Program Alumni Communications

We invite divisions and programs to connect with their alumni via communications. Any division or program can place a request to send a newsletter or message to their alumni. The division and or program is responsible for putting together the content, but Advancement builds and creates the email. This process is coordinated by the Associate Chief Advancement Officer.
