- Impact Statement Guidelines. As part of the faculty review process for continuation, promotion, or merit, faculty are invited to submit a statement detailing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and related circumstances on their professional work. Refer to UMN’s guidance on using impact statements in faculty reviews. If submitted, these statements must be considered in both annual and promotion/tenure reviews.
