Pay

The School of Public Health strives to fairly compensate our faculty and staff members for their strong work accomplishments and performance.

The following key documents explain the compensation philosophy and pay practices within the School of Public Health:

Hourly and Salary Pay Ranges

Labor Represented employees — view contracts for step progressions based on job classification code.

Civil Service and P&A (Professional and Academic/Administrative) employees — view Salary Ranges by Job Family FY23.

Graduate assistants – view FY23 Graduate Assistant Budgeting Tool.

Overtime and Comptime

All eligible employees must receive prior authorization from their supervisor before working overtime. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is the law that determines overtime requirements for a particular job, and the labor contract or Civil Service Employment Rules are the University guidance around overtime.

Learn more by talking to an SPH HR team member. (Note that faculty and P&A staff receive salaries and are not eligible for overtime or compensatory time.)
